On Wednesday, March 30th, 2022, a graduation event will be held for the graduates of the Postgraduate Programs of the Department of Forestry, Wood Science & Design, awards and honorary plaques and a career day, at the Department’s facilities in Karditsa (Amphitheater-Department C), according to the program:

11.00 – 12.00 Graduation of Postgraduate Students of Programs

  • “Advanced Methods of Design, Technology and Management of Wood Products” of the Department of Forestry, Wood Science & Design.
  • “Multifunctional Management of Forest Ecosystems & Bioeconomics” of the Department of Forestry, Wood Science & Design.
  • “Advanced Methods of Design, Technology and Management of Wooden Products” & “Advanced Methods of Manufacture of Wooden Products” of the General Department of Larissa.

12.00 – 13.00 Awards – awarding of honorary plaques

  • Awarding of an honorary plaque to the emeritus professor Konstantinos Adamakis as the 1st President of Department Forestry, Wood Science & Design for his valuable contribution to the organization and autonomy of the Department.
  • Awarding of an honorary plaque to Antigoni Drisbioti, 8th Olympian on foot at the Tokyo Olympics for achieving her ideal of competing.
  • Awarding of honorary plaques to retirees of the Department of Forestry, Wood Science & Design.
  • Awards of Excellence to undergraduate students of the Department.
  • Awards of Excellence to postgraduate students of the Department.

The program.

Due to the special health conditions, based on the safety of the participants, the Program of events for the participation in the event, are required:

  • vaccination certificate or
  • disease certificate (last 180 days) or
  • confirmation of a negative laboratory test by PCR for COVID-19 coronavirus, performed up to seventy-two (72) hours before the scheduled start time of the ceremony, or
  • confirmation of a negative test using rapid coronavirus antigen detection COVID-19 (rapid-test), which was performed up to forty eight (48) hours before the scheduled start time of the ceremony, and a simultaneous identity check (upon presentation of a police ID).

The Inauguration Ceremony can be attended exclusively by up to 3 people as escorts to each graduate student.

Exceptionally, it is possible to enter the ceremony for minors aged four (4) to seventeen (17) years after performing and declaring a negative self-diagnosis. The declaration of self-test (self-test) of the last twenty-four hours of minors is made by either any parent, even if they do not have custody, or a guardian. No physical presence of the parent or guardian is required upon presentation of the declaration.

The use of a mask is mandatory by all those present, throughout the ceremony. Finally, maskless photography should be done outdoors.
