It is announced that the applications to participate in the qualifying exams of the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design for the academic year 2024-2025, are submitted to the Secretariat of the Department from Friday 1st to Friday 15th November 2024.

The following have the right to participate in the Department’s qualifying exams:

  1. Graduates of University, TEI or equivalent, A.S.PAITE.E., of Greece or Abroad (recognized by D.O.A.T.A.P.) and graduates of two-year higher schools and more than two years of study. The percentage of graduates’ rankings is set at 12% of the Department’s admissions.
  2. Graduates of Vocational Training Institutes (VET), after a successful certification examination of initial vocational training, hold a Vocational Specialty Education and Training Diploma level five (5) of the National Qualifications Framework or an equivalent title.

The above holders of a Vocational Specialty Diploma in Education and Training level five (5) of the National Framework of Qualifications, before their registration at the I.E.K. they must also hold a high school diploma. The maximum number of I.E.K. graduates that can be classified in the Department is set at a rate of 3% of the Department’s annual number of admissions.

  • FOREST PROTECTION TECHNICIAN
  • FURNITURE AND WOODWORK PRODUCTION AND MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (EXPERIMENTAL SPECIALTY)
  • WOOD CARVING TECHNIQUE AND APPLICATIONS IN WOODEN CONSTRUCTIONS
  • INTERIOR ARCHITECTURAL DECORATION AND OBJECT DESIGN

Those interested should submit to the Secretariat of the Department (either in person, by post, or electronically to the e-mail: g-fwsd@uth.gr):

  1. Signed application
  2. Copy of degree or certificate of completion of studies. In the case of foreign graduates, a certificate of equivalence of their degree from (D.O.A.T.A.P.) is also submitted.
  3. Photocopy of police or military ID or passport

The selection of candidates is made exclusively with development issues in three (3) courses. The courses, the material and the exam schedule have been posted on the Department’s website at the link https://fwsd.uth.gr/el/katataktiries-exetaseis/
