Those of the students of the Department’s Undergraduate and Postgraduate Study Programs who wish to staff the group of green activators of the Co-Green project (https://www.euracademy.org/co-green/) are requested to contact Professor Mr. Michalis Vrahnakis at mvrahnak@uth.gr by Sunday, April 14.

Completion of participation in the project’s actions will be accompanied by the awarding of a relevant diploma.

The CO-GREEN project develops an intervention model that supports community development in the ecological transition, incorporating the values, principles and sustainable practices that characterize the Green Deal of the European Union (Green Deal, https://commission.europa.eu/ strategy-and-policy/priorities-2019-2024/european-green-deal_en). The project involves local government organizations and academic institutions from Poland, Italy, Croatia and Greece. From Greece, in addition to the Greek branch of EUROACADEMY ASSOCIATION, the Municipality of Karditsa participates. The project refers to the peripheral communities, i.e. those communities which are not located in urban centers and which are not directly involved in local/regional decision-making processes regarding green policies. For this purpose, local groups of green activators are being developed in communities in Poland, Italy, Croatia and Greece. Activators will organize outreach actions, aiming to raise awareness among citizens on how to deal with critical problems affecting well-being and environmental protection.
