FULBRIGHT RESEARCH PROGRAM
Visiting Scholars, Researchers, Artists
This program is open to faculty members and researchers (tenured and non-tenured) of Greek Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and research centers, as well as postdoctoral researchers affiliated with universities and research institutes in Greece. A limited number of awards are also available for professional artists with a degree and substantial experience in their field, who wish to undertake individual research or an artistic project.
Participants are expected to teach and/or conduct research at universities or research institutions in the United States. The program aims to promote teaching, research, and institutional collaboration between Greek and American educational institutions. Preference is given to individuals who remain active in their field, ensuring that the knowledge and experience gained will benefit their home institutions and the wider academic community.
FULBRIGHT STUDENT PROGRAM
PhD Candidates
This program targets PhD candidates from Greek HEIs who wish to conduct research at universities and research centers in the U.S. for a period of up to six months, providing an opportunity for short-term research stays in the United States.
Particular emphasis is placed on the research topic, stage, and level, as well as a detailed presentation of the research proposal.
The program aims to support and enhance mobility of scholars and researchers between Greece and the U.S., and to promote collaboration between Greek and American universities and research centers.
The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), in collaboration with the Fulbright Foundation, offers five additional grants to Greek PhD candidates from Greek HEIs.
Graduate Studies
The program targets final-year students and graduates of Greek HEIs with high academic achievement.
Scholarships are awarded for the first academic year of Master’s studies in the United States.
