The Company for the Exploitation & Management of the Real Estate of the University of Thessaly invites photography studios and professional photographers who wish to obtain a license for photographing and/or videorecording the graduation ceremonies of U.Th. graduates to submit an application in accordance with the terms of this call.
Scope of the License:
The license is granted exclusively for the duration of the graduation ceremonies of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students in July 2025.
Graduation ceremonies will take place in the cities of Volos, Larissa, Karditsa, Lamia, and Trikala. Each event may include two or three separate ceremonies: one for postgraduate students, one for undergraduates, and one for doctoral graduations.
Locations of the ceremonies and license coverage:
- Larissa: Gaiopolis campus (former TEI of Thessaly)
- Larissa: Biopolis campus – Medical School
- Volos: Pedion tou Areos – Polytechnic School
- Volos: Papastratos coastal complex, Argonauts & Filhellenes streets
- Volos: Fytoko – Agricultural School facilities
- Karditsa: Former TEI Thessaly facilities
- Trikala: TEFAA facilities
- Lamia: Former TEI Lamia facilities

Submission Period: 04/07/2025 – 11/07/2025, 12:00 noon (late applications will not be accepted).
Required Documentation:
- Copy of the applicant photographer’s ID.
- Certificate from the Photographers’ Association for the current year for the owner of the studio submitting the application, plus a copy of the association ID.
- Document certifying the Activity Code or operating license of the studio.
- Details of photographers/collaborators (for issuing entry cards), including:
- VAT and Tax Office proof
- Certificate from the Photographers’ Association for each collaborator
- Contact details (email, phone)
- For freelancers: copy of a recent invoice/receipt proving professional cooperation
- For employed collaborators: copy of current-year employment contract
- Declaration of Acceptance (via www.gov.gr) by the studio owner confirming acceptance of the terms and conditions of the call (Protocol No. 5964/03-07-2025).
Fees for Photography License (per photographer, for all ceremonies in July 2025):
- Volos: €150 + VAT (Red Card)
- Lamia: €60 + VAT (Yellow Card)
- Larissa: €200 + VAT (Green Card)
- Karditsa: €30 + VAT (Orange Card)
- Trikala: €50 + VAT (Blue Card)
Fees for Videography License (per photographer, for all ceremonies in July 2025):
- Volos: €50 + VAT
- Lamia: €25 + VAT
- Larissa: €75 + VAT
- Karditsa: €25 + VAT
- Trikala: €25 + VAT
Payment & License Issuance:
Upon verification of documentation, studios that meet the requirements will be asked to pay the fee within five working days. Payment is made via bank transfer to the University’s Real Estate Management Company, and an invoice will be issued. Once payment is confirmed, the license is granted, and the final list of approved studios will be published on the Company’s website: https://eadp.uth.gr.
Important Notes:
- Accredited photographers must display their ID card visibly during ceremonies.
- Equipment use must be discreet and must not obstruct the event.
- Sale of noisemakers, fireworks, confetti, or other disruptive items is strictly prohibited.
- Studios are responsible for the labor and insurance obligations of their staff and collaborators.
- Non-compliance will result in revocation of the license for the current and future ceremonies.
All announcements related to graduation ceremonies (schedules, assignment of photographers, instructions, etc.) will be posted at: https://eadp.uth.gr/node/210.
This ensures compliance with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2016/679/EU); ceremonies are photographed/videotaped by order, while attendees may also be captured in official images.
