On Monday, June 30, 2025, the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design organized an educational visit to Alfawood, one of the leading wood processing industries in Greece, as part of the internship program.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to tour Alfawood’s production facilities in Grevena, observe firsthand the wood production and processing procedures, and learn about the technological innovations applied in the wood industry. Special emphasis was placed on quality control, sustainable raw material management, and industrial design.
The visit significantly reinforced the connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application, providing valuable insights for the students’ future professional orientation.
