Dr Anthony Karageorgos is currently a Professor in “Intelligent Information Systems” at the School of Technology, University of Thessaly, Greece, and Head of the Applied Informatics and Digital Technologies (AIDigiLab) laboratory. Previously, he was with the Department of Wood and Furniture Design and Technology, TEI of Thessaly, Greece, where he served as Head of the Department. Among his main research involvements in AIDigiLab are the development of intelligent systems for personalised e-commerce and mass manufacturing. He holds degrees in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, and a PhD in Agent-based Software Engineering, and has received funding for research projects in Greece and EU, which resulted in patents and several international journal and conference publications. He has extensive experience in Self-Organising Systems and Decentralised Intelligence. His current research interests include combining Immersive Reality and Decentralised Intelligence, Self-Organising and Intelligent Systems, as well as IoT and Data Analytics.
