The Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce and its Agricultural Technology Committee are organizing the 12th Agricultural Technology Conference entitled: “Primary Production with an Eye on the Future: Challenges and Prospects in Agriculture and Livestock” which will take place on Friday, February 23th, 2024 at the Porto Palace Hotel of Thessaloniki and is under the auspices of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.

The annual Agrotechnology Conference has been organized continuously since 2012 and has now become an institution as the premier event of its kind, contributing to the successful course of the agricultural economy and the farmer-entrepreneur as a targeted, concise and interventional event.

The Conference will discuss proposals for the day after catastrophic weather events and the systemic changes the industry needs to regenerate.

At the same time, it will focus on livestock and its derivatives, such as dairy and cheese, sectors with great potential but also significant challenges, as they must adapt to increasing demand with fewer resources.

Invited speaker on the topic “The new carbon credits market and the opportunities for Greek agriculture” is the Associate Professor of our Department, Mr. Trigkas Marios.
