Andromachi V. Mitani is an Assistant Professor in “Chemical treatments of wood” at the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design of the University of Thessaly, Greece. She holds an Integrated Master’s degree and a PhD in Forestry and Natural Environment from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as an MSc in Special Education. Her research focuses on thermal modification of wood, composite wood products, furniture quality control and the utilisation of industrial residues and hemp for innovative, sustainable materials within the framework of the circular economy. She has extensive teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has participated in numerous national and European research projects (ESPA, Erasmus+, Horizon, Interreg), publishing her work in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
