Aretos Vasileios

Vasileios Aretos graduated from the Forestry Department of the Technological Education Institute (TEI) in Larisa and obtained his MSc degree in “Adult Education” from the Hellenic Open University. He currently works as a member of Technical Laboratory Staff in the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design in the University of Thessaly. He gained profound teaching experience as a demonstrator for undergraduate courses during the last five (5) academic years and as a tutor for sixteen (16) years in the Department of Forestry and Management of Natural Environment in TEI of Thessaly. Moreover, he delivered several courses in the Center of Technical Professional Training of the Manpower Employment Organization in Karditsa and acted as an invited lecturer in the Professional Training Center for developing and updating adults’ vocational skills. He worked as a forester in the Forest Service of Kalampaka and in the wood processing company operated by the Union of Forest-workers cooperatives in western Thessaly. He was a member in numerous projects consortia, funded by several bodies (Operational Programme for Education and Initial Vocational Training, Community Support Framework, National Strategic Reference Framework, etc) and supervised by TEI of Thessaly, University of Thessaly, NAGREF, Development Agency of Karditsa and Development Agency of Larisa. He participated in the scientific groups of six (6) research projects coordinated by TEI of Thessaly and University of Thessaly and contributed to the development of eight (8) case studies. He is the co-author of one (1) textbook, one (1) paper published by an international scientific journal, twelve (12) papers published in Greek conferences proceedings, two (2) papers published in International conferences proceedings, two (2) papers published in meeting proceedings and one (1) monograph. Finally, he is registered as a Qualified Trainer for Adults by the National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance and as a Qualified lecturer by the Manpower Employment Organization.
