Skarvelis Michail

Dr. Michalis Skarvelis is Professor on Wood Technology (spec. Wood Drying). During 2014-16 he used to be Head of the Wood and Furniture Design and Technology Dept. in Technological Institution of Thessaly. Simultaneously he was in charge for Furniture Lab. and Wood Constructions Lab. In the beginning of his career he worked in wood industry and then, for 25 years, a member of the research stuff in the Institute of Mediterranean Forest Ecosystems and Wood Products Technology, belonged in National Research Foundation. Through this occupation he was in good conduct with forest and wood industry practice. Since 2009 he is a Professor, teaching Wood Technology, Wooden Constructions Technology and Furniture Technology. He presented and published many scientific articles. He participates in national and international scientific committees on wood technology, wood constructions and wood standardization.
