Dr. Ioannis I. Papadopoulos is a full at the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design of the University of Thessaly in the field of “Wood Business Economics and Marketing of Wooden Products”. His scientific field is «Wood Business Economics and Marketing of Wooden Products». He is the Director for seven (7) tears continuously (2015-2022), of the Post Graduate Program “Advanced Methods of Wooden Products’ Design, Technology and Management”, divided in 3 specializations: a) Design of Products b) Wood Technology, c) Management and Marketing. He is the Head of the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design of the University of Thessaly and Director of the institutionalized Laboratory of Forest Economics, Marketing, Innovation & Entrepreneurship of the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design of the University of Thessaly. He is a tactical member of the Quality Assurance Unit of the University of Thessaly as long as of the Strategic Planning Unit of the University of Thessaly. He has participated in many international and national scientific committees and European and national research projects (over 60), as a Scientific Coordinator in the 25 and as member of research teams in 35 of them. He has been an instructor in numerous national and international seminars in businesses of several sectors in training fields such as: Production, marketing, accounting, Business management and economics, eco-innovation, circular economy, new products development, improvement of productivity etc. while he is a consultant in many private enterprises. His current research fields areι: business marketing, market studies, economic analysis, accounting, business clustering, innovation, circular economy, bioeconomy, regional reconstruction after forest fires. He is teaching the courses: Marketing of Wooden Products, Accounting of Wooden Products Production and Services, Management of Forest Enterprises and Organizations, Forest Economics (pre graduate level) and Marketing of New Products, Marketing of Biobased Products, Contemporary Methods of Production Accounting, Research Methodology (at post graduate level). He has published more than 240 papers and articles in total in several national and international conferences, scientific and professional journals, articles, books, collective volumes etc. He has presented scientific papers in international conferences in the following countries: Greece, USA (N.Y. Los Angeles), Japan, Norway, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Cyprus etc. He has participated in many international and national scientific committees, while he is a reviewer of many scientific papers in international conferences and journals and member of academic and scientific journals’ committees. According to Scholar Google he holds >455 citations in his published work (h-index 10). He has organized scientific meetings and conferences, participating with many speeches and presentations. He is a member of many scientific organizations and associations, while he has also been member of committees for the evaluation of teaching, research and administrative work at Department and University level.
