PROSVASIS is the support structure for students with disabilities and/or special educational needs of the University of Thessaly. The aim of PROSVASIS is to strengthen the learning and social access of students with disabilities and/or special educational needs of the University of Thessaly as well as their access to the University of Thessaly spaces.
Students with diabilities and/or special educational needs and lecturers register on the PROSVASIS electronic platform to express their needs, to be informed and/or to receive support regarding issues of access to the University of Thessaly. Indicatively, students with diabilities and/or special educational needs can register in PROSVASIS in order to inform the service of obstacles to their access, request support during their courses or some variation in their exams.
If students with diasbilities and/or special educational needs want support, fellow students take on the role of volunteers with the aim of strengthening the access of their fellow disabled students. Specifically, the student-volunteers in collaboration with faculty members can help the disabled students in moving around the premises of the University of Thessaly, filling out applications, attending classes, converting various files into another format, preparing them for the exams. Finally, for the deaf students of the University of Thessaly, interpretation in Greek sign language is provided.
