COMPLETION OF REGISTRATION OF FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-2025
The first-year students of the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design of the academic year 2024-2025, who have completed their online registration in the application of the 2024 Electronic Registration System of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, should send the following documents:
- The electronic registration application submitted to the Ministry of Education, Religion and Sports.
- Clear photocopy of the police ID or passport (that has been declared in the online registration, both sides).
- Certificate of deletion or graduation certificate for students who are registered in other Departments of Higher Education in Greece and did not request their deletion from these Departments during their online registration.
SPECIAL CATEGORY FOR SUFFERERS FROM SERIOUS ILLNESSES
The successful candidates of the special category of those suffering from serious diseases, in addition to the above supporting documents, must themselves or through an authorized person, submit to the Secretariat of the Department in person or alternatively by post the following supporting documents in order to complete their registration:
- Clear photocopy of Dismissal Certificate: high school diploma or degree or proof of the school from which he graduated.
- A clear photocopy of the Certificate of diagnosis of the condition that has been issued either a) by a competent seven-member Committee of the hospital, as they are established every year, by ministerial decision, according to no. Φ.151/17897/Β6/2014 (Government Gazette 358 B΄) joint ministerial decision, or b) by the Committee for examining objections of candidates with serious illnesses for admission to Higher Education at a rate of 5% which is constituted by a joint ministerial decision, following a recommendation of the Central Health Council (KESY) of the Ministry of Health.
- Three (3) passport-type photos.
ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE SPECIAL CATEGORY OF GREEK CITIZENS OF THE MUSLIM MINORITY OF THRACE
In order to complete their registration, those admitted to Higher Education under the special category of Greek Citizens of the Muslim Minority of Thrace should, along with the above supporting documents, send by courier or submit in person to the Department’s Secretariat a relevant certificate, that are registered in the municipal registers of the Prefecture of Xanthi, Rodopi or Evros. All the above supporting documents should be sent by Friday, September 27, 2024, either electronically in format (pdf) to the Department Secretariat’s email address g-fwsd@uth.gr, with the message subject “Registration documents – full name”, or by post or by courier to the address:

All the above supporting documents are mandatory to complete the registration of first-year students in the Department.
Until the receipt of the aforementioned supporting documents from the Secretariat is completed, it will not be possible to issue study certificates for first-year students.
After the supporting documents have been received from the Secretariat and all the information has been entered in the electronic system, you will be sent the codes of your institutional account so that you can access all the services of the University of Thessaly.
The codes will be sent to the mobile phone number declared by the first-year student during online registration in the Y.PAI.TH.A application with an SMS with instructions for activating the personal institutional account (in the event that the mobile phone number you have registered during your online registration has changed, you should inform the Secretariat immediately). Once you receive the relevant sms, you should go to the password recovery page (https://secure.it.uth.gr/user/recover/) where you will enter the username and the recovery password that will be given to you by sms and your new password of your choice twice. Then, your account at the University of Thessaly will have the same username and new password (Caution: the recovery password you will be given will be one-time use and automatically deactivated after the activation process of your account). Your institutional account is essential and will accompany you throughout your studies. With the institutional account, you automatically get a personal mailbox (email) of the format @uth.gr, through the service of the University of Thessaly (https://webmail.uth.gr). Your personal communication with the Department and other services of the University will be done exclusively through your new email and not to other email accounts that you have registered during your online registration.
In addition, those who are not interested in attending courses during the Academic Year 2024-2025 for personal reasons (e.g. participating again in Panhellenic exams, etc.), have the possibility, at the same time as submitting the registration documents, to request the interruption of studies for the current year (responsible statement from gov.gr). With the interruption of studies, the student status is suspended during the time of interruption of studies (you do not have the right to apply for transfer, issue of academic ID, meals, certificate of studies, etc.) and you are not allowed to participate in any educational process. However, after the period of interruption of studies has elapsed, you re-enter as an active student at the start of the new academic year and continue your studies again in the 1st year of study if you wish to continue.
