The dates of Internship of the courses “Forest Products Harvesting & Biomass Management, Dendrometry, Forest Products Quality Control & Certification” are 11/7/2024, 17-18/7/2024
Dear students,
With the aim of the smooth conduct of the internship in Neraida (Municipality of Lake Plastira), within the framework of the above courses, please take care of the following:
- Adherence to the daily program schedule to avoid possible high temperatures during our stay in the field. We will try to start after breakfast at 8.30
- Take self-protection measures such as: sunscreen, hat, cool water bottle, regular socks, pants that cover the entire leg and shoe, field shoes (no heels or thin sneakers), long-sleeved shirts for those who are particularly sensitive /s in the sun and work gloves (e.g. for taking samples from logging operations).
- Carry an antihistamine (e.g. Fenistil type) with you to avoid severe symptoms from insect bites or due to contact with a plant that irritates the skin, as well as small bandages (Hansaplast type) and simple pharmaceutical products for treating small wounds ( eg Betadine, iodine, cotton).
- Declare any allergies to the accompanying teachers.
- Bring a timing device with you (watch, cell phone)
- Have paper and a pen or pencil with you as well as a calculator for calculations
We are sure that everything will go well and we will gain maximum knowledge in the field.
