The Regional Biomass Forum with Industrial Visits is a new series of events organized by the Hellenic Biomass Development Company (HELLAVIOM) on an annual basis. The purpose of the event is to bring into direct contact and networking businesses, local government, academic and research institutions, agricultural and forestry cooperatives, energy communities, logistics managers, owner-operators of construction and agricultural machinery, biomass producers and in general all actors of the chain biomass value.
Congress
On Tuesday, May 14th, 2024, the conference will take place in Larissa, which will include:
- Speeches by Austrian experts who will present the corresponding model of forest biomass utilization in Austria
- Brief presentations of Greek and Austrian companies and organizations
- B2B meetings in order to explore the possibility of cooperation between companies of the two countries
Visits
On Wednesday 15th May 2024, participants will be able to visit:
- A forest area in the area of Karditsa and to be informed about the practices followed for the management of forest biomass
- The Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences & Design of the University of Thessaly
