The symposium on the course of mathematics from ancient times to the age of artificial intelligence, which took place over the weekend at the Popular Culture Building – Th. Markellos & M. Katafygiotis Gallery, was special, organized by the local branch of the Hellenic Mathematical Society and held under the auspices of of the Regional Unit of Trikala and the Municipality of Trikkaia. Professor Mr. Karageorgos Antonios represented through his speech the Laboratory of Applied Informatics and Digital Technologies of the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences & Design.
The symposium was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, promote innovation and present the latest developments in the field of mathematics and artificial intelligence. With the participation of distinguished personalities and a large audience, many interesting points of view were heard and a fruitful dialogue was developed which enhanced the understanding and perspectives of the field of education. The symposium concluded that artificial intelligence has the potential to revolutionize the way mathematics is taught and learned and to deliver personalized instruction tailored to each student’s needs and learning style. It is important to ensure that AI is used in a way that benefits all students, regardless of their background or ability.
