The Assembly of the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences & Design (FWSD), in accordance with the provisions of Law 3404/2005 (A’260), Law 4009/2011 (A’195) as amended and in force, article 57 of Law 4186/2013 (A’193), paragraph 10 of article 6 of Law 4218/2013 (A’268), paragraphs 1 & 2 of Ministerial Decisions No. Φ2/125186 Β3/22-11-2006 (Β1758/5-12-2006) and Ε1/192329/Β3/16-12-2013 (Β3185/16-12-2013), for the process of ranking Tertiary Education graduates, defines the percentage (on the number of admitted) of the ranks of the graduates in the Department to 12% of the newly admitted students per academic year.

The successful candidates are classified in the 1st year of studies and depending on the relevance of their Department of origin and the recognition of courses, it is possible to be classified up to the 5th semester of FWSD studies.

The right to participate in the qualifying exams of the Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences and Design of the University of Thessaly are:

1. University graduates of Greece or abroad (recognized by D.O.A.T.A.P.). The percentage of graduates’ rankings is set at 12% of the Department’s admissions.

2. Graduates of Vocational Training Institutes, after a successful initial vocational training certification exam, hold a Vocational Specialty Education and Training Diploma level five (5) of the National Qualifications Framework or an equivalent title.

The above holders of a Vocational Specialty Diploma in Education and Training level five (5) of the National Framework of Qualifications, before their registration at the Institute of Vocational Training they must also hold a high school diploma.

The maximum number of Institute of Vocational Training graduates that can be classified in the Department is set at a rate of 3% of the Department’s annual number of admissions.
